Final day of the show

Last chance to meet me and see the paintings on the wall tonight

Tonight will see the final few hours of Places & Faces, my first public art show, and it’s been a great experience for me and, I think, for the patrons of the cafe-bar. I might go into more detail about what I’ve learnt from the show at a later date, but for now, I just want to say thank you to Les and Mika who hosted the show and to everyone who popped in to say hi and found themselves as unpaid models for one of my drinks-coaster portraits (like the self-portrait above).

A special thanks to the folks who bought nine of my artworks — because of them I am now, by definition, a professional artist — and to Yusuke who made this lovely video-short while I sketched him at the cafe last weekend.

I’ll pop out one last time to the show tonight, so if the approaching typhoon weather allows, come on out to Sun Beam Terrace tonight and say hi.

今夜は、私の初めての公開アートショー「Places & Faces」の最後の数時間となります。この展示会は私にとっても、カフェバーのお客様にとっても素晴らしい経験となりました。展示会を通して学んだことについては、また改めて詳しくお話しするかもしれませんが、今はただ、ショーを開催してくださったレスさんとミカさん、そして立ち寄って挨拶してくれ、気づけば私のドリンクコースターポートレートの無償モデルになってくれた皆さん（上の自画像のように）に感謝を伝えたいです。

特に、私の作品を9点購入してくださった方々に特別な感謝を申し上げます（そのおかげで、私は定義上、プロのアーティストになりました）。また、先週末、カフェで私が彼のスケッチをしているところを素晴らしいショートビデオに収めてくれたユウスケさんにも感謝しています。

今夜、展示会に最後にもう一度顔を出しますので、接近中の台風の天気が許せば、ぜひサンビームテラスにお越しいただき、ご挨拶させてください。
