From July 1st to July 31st, I’ll be holding my second exhibition at Sun Beam Terrace in Mabashi, Chiba. Here’s what I wrote in the catalogue introduction:

The first 20 paintings in this catalogue all debuted in a month-long exhibition at Sun Beam Terrace in Mabashi, Chiba Prefecture, July 2025. Once I realised most of the paintings were of the sun over Teganuma, the title “Here comes the sun” was a no-brainer. Harder, was making other Beatles song titles fit other paintings. But that’s OK, it was fun humming the tunes as I painted.

このカタログに掲載されている最初の20点の絵画は、2025年7月に千葉県馬橋のサンビームテラスで開催された1か月間の展覧会で初公開されました。描いた作品のほとんどが手賀沼と太陽をテーマにしていると気づいたとき、「Here Comes the Sun」というタイトルがすぐに浮かびました。他の作品にビートルズの曲名を当てはめるのは少し悩みましたが、キャンバスの上で絵具を動かしながら鼻歌でメロディーを口ずさむのは、楽しいひとときでした。
