Year of the Dragon

This was my second-ever abstract in oils, painted on the first day of 2024, the year of the dragon. My first was angular and cold, painted with a palette knife, so I resolved to get my brushes out for this one. Inspired by views of the nearby Teganuma marsh in an amber sunset.

これは私が2024年の元旦に描いた、オイルで描かれた二作目の抽象画です。この年は龍の年でした。最初の作品は角ばって冷たい感じで、パレットナイフを使って描きましたが、今回はブラシを使うことを決意しました。近くの手賀沼湿地の琥珀色の夕焼けからインスパイアを受けました。
