A painting to celebrate good fortune (Oil on canvas, 53cm x 46 cm)

Mr Yamaguchi contacted me after seeing my art in a recent exhibition. He wanted a painting to celebrate his family’s good fortune, his favourite motorbike and his Royal Enfield motorcycle dealership’s continued success. I was happy to oblige. After chatting with him about what he wanted, visiting his dealership and taking reference photos, I finished this 53cm x 46cm oil painting (and homemade “floating” frame) last week. The paint was barely dry to the touch, but the Yamaguchis were eager to hang the painting in their home. I’ll be back in six months when the paint is fully dry to add a coat of varnish so the painting will last a lifetime.
